Upaya’s long-term residential path of service provides the opportunity for an immersion into the community life of a Zen Buddhist sangha with dedicated practitioners. The daily life of a resident involves study, intensive meditation, liturgy, work practice, and local community service. Residents participate in a diverse course of study on socially engaged Buddhism, Buddhist studies, and contemplative science. The residential path is an opportunity to go deeper into practice, learn from exceptional teachers, and be a part of a caring and dedicated contemplative community.
Free online daily meditation practice and Wednesday night dharma talks are live-streamed on Upaya Zen Center’s YouTube Channel. A wealth of free dharma podcasts from past teachings and programming are available on Upaya’s website.
