Profile
The Boundless Way Zen Temple school is an emerging western Zen practice community with lineage roots in the Japanese Soto tradition through Jiyu Kennett, Roshi, the Soto reform Harada-Yasutani koan curriculum through John Tarrant, Roshi, and the Korean Linji tradition through Zen Master George Bomun Bowman.
Anyone is welcome to attend Boundless Way Zen Temple practice periods offered at a number of locations throughout New England, as well as Pennsylvania, abroad, and Zoom only groups. There are no special requirements and no cost for daily practice, although donations to support the sharing of the dharma are gratefully accepted.
Boundless Way Zen Temple teachers are dedicated to helping every student find a meditation practice that fits their unique personality and deepest intention for awakening, including breath awareness, mindfulness practices, koan introspection, and subtle art of just sitting. We are also committed to the continuing work of integrating Zen practice into everyday life.
Our guiding teachers are: Melissa Myozen Blacker, Roshi and David Dae An Rynick, Roshi. In addition to our network of practice groups, we have our Zen Temple in Worcester, MA (Boundless Way Zen Temple: https://boundlessway.org/)
At our Temple and our practice groups, we offer daily practice, residential and commuter retreats, and workshops and classes in person and on Zoom.
