Milk Lake is a solitary retreat centre located in the forest and farm country near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. All the retreat cabins can be reached by car or one can take Cloud Nine Shuttle service
from Halifax or Halifax Airport directly to your cabin. Milk Lake forest and meadows from a arc on Dragon Lake. There are beautiful trails along the lake where one can walk
or just sit and contemplate the magic. Milk Lake is just 20 minutes to the ocean beaches which most of the year have but a few local residents to walk along their shores. Solitary retreat participants
bring their own food and do their own cooking in their cabin. Grocery shopping is available for
those who come by shuttle.
Gregg Clause the director at Milk Lake has been in residence going on 20 years and has been a
student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche since 1975. Meditation instruction is available upon request. No scheduled teachings or group retreats are available at Milk Lake.
The retreat cabin rate is $40/day for 4 day or more. A 3 day retreat is $50/day. The rate for retreats
2 weeks or more is $35/day. A month or more is $30/day. Grocery shopping is available for retreats
over 2 weeks. Buddhalocana Cabin which overlooks Dragon Lake has a seperate bedroom which can
